a few words about us
Polymer Ag's beginnings date back to 1988 when our chemist set out to develop a permeable plant coating to reduce moisture loss in growing plants and crops. This endeavor led to the unique formulation of Anti-Stress 550®, a non-toxic, water-based, biodegradable foliar spray that creates a semi-permeable elastic membrane over the plant surface.
Anti-Stress 550® was developed in the Central Valley of California, providing the perfect arena for field testing and feedback from some of the world's most experienced growers. The Central Valley is the nation's top agricultural-producing region, supplying 25% of the food America eats. The valley is also recognized around the world for its agricultural productivity and is the most dynamic agricultural region in the world.
Over the years, Polymer Ag has worked closely with farm advisors and managers at California State University, Fresno, the University of California, Davis and The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in the testing of Anti-Stress. In addition, many independent growers conducted their own field tests to determine the value of Anti-Stress in their production protocol. Field tests conducted in all of these venues on a wide variety of crops and plants proved that Anti-Stress 550 was successful in reducing the plant's water transpiration, thus reducing damage to plants and crops during periods of frost and freeze, heat stress, desiccating winds, drought, transplant stress and rapid temperature changes.
Over twenty years later, Polymer Ag, LLC is the world leader in polymers for use on growing plants during periods of climate-related stress. Anti-Stress products are sold throughout the world and are instrumental in helping farmers, nurseries, landscapers, horticulturists and gardeners across the globe increase production and plant health, while reducing water use.
